My Iftar food walk

Iftar is the religious observance of breaking a fast  when the azaan is called out by muezzins from mosques after sunset. This happens during the holy month of Ramadaan or Ramzaan like how it is known here in in India. About five years ago, we started going to the iftar spreads to indulge in the meaty treats at Frazer town, Bangalore. It continues even now.

360º – A walk to remember

My friend Tina and I were vegging out one afternoon at her awesome apartment located at the Dubai Marina. We were bored and were deliberating that we find a place to let our hair down and listen to some music. Shakespeare & Co.

When I heard my friend Tina say we’ll go to Shakespeare and Co. , my first thought was “oh! goodie, we get to see a play!” I failed to see her knowing grin. 🙂 I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and saw to my delight that Shakespeare and Co. was a café!!

I was immediately taken in by the thought of this “destination(?!) café”, if you will.

The Fatty Bao

There are days when you find things just refuse to work or go on strike.
I had one of these rare days a few weeks ago. There were a lot of things that needed to be done and I kind of had a mini meltdown. Was helpless because of my dependencies on others to set this right. There was no point in sitting around when this got fixed so I rounded up two friends and headed out to lunch. To unwind mostly from all the subsequent stress.

Zen and the art of bonding

This Zen has nothing to do with the Mahayana school of buddhism.:) This Zen, is the pan-asian restaurant at the Leela Palace hotel, Bangalore.
A while ago, this ground floor restaurant was the chosen venue, to have an informal dinner with my team members after a loong day at work. We made our way directly to one of the Leela’s restaurants – Zen, as decided.
